free form apple galette

one day last week i decided to try a free form apple galette recipe.  this one uses refrigerated pie crust which is thawed and then shaped into a round.  i simply sliced four gala apples and mixed them with cinnamon and a small amount of sugar.  i placed them on the round and baked the tart for 35 minutes at 375 degrees. 

when the tart cooled, i dusted the dessert with powdered sugar.  this tart is excellent served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.  it can be served heated or cooled.  for interest, nuts or raisins can be added as desired.
